Tots Group Lessons – Designed to introduce young children to group lessons and promote a comfortable relationship with the water while having fun and learning basic skills.
Prerequisite: A mature child 2–3 years of age

Beginner Group Lessons – Teaches children the basics of swimming–to float in the prone position and use arms and legs to swim a short distance.
Prerequisite: Mature children 3 to 6 years of age with limited experience in the water

Availability: 4 classes per session, all 5 sessions
Advanced Beginner Group Lessons – Teaches front crawl with rhythmic side breathing and the unassisted back float.
Prerequisite: Children 4-8 years of age who can float in the prone position and swim a short distance with arms.

Availability: 4 classes per session, all 5 sessions
Intermediate Group Lessons - Develop swimmer’s front crawl side breathing, back float with backstroke arms, and an introduction to breastroke. Swimmers may learn a dive entry from the pool edge. Strongly recommended for children participating with Beginners Swim Team.
Prerequisite: Children who can swim the width of the pool front crawl with rhythmic breathing and float on back unassisted.

Availability: 4 classes per session, all 5 sessions
Stroke Development Group Lessons - Develop correct stroke mechanics of freestyle, backstroke, breastroke, and butterfly. Swimmers may also learn a dive entry from standard starting blocks. Recommended for Swim Team members and future competitive swimmers.
Prerequisite: Children who can swim the 25-yard length of the pool freestyle with rhythmic breathing and backstroke.

Competitive Techniques I Group Lessons – This class teaches the fundamentals of competition legal starts and turns, with additional focus on stroke development. Strongly recommended for Swim Team members and future competitive swimmers.
Prerequisite: Swimmers capable of freestyle, backstroke, with limited breastroke and butterfly proficiency.
Class size: 10–20 (2 instructors)
Availability: 2 classes per session, all 5 sessions
Competitive Techniques II Group Lessons – This class focuses on competitive starts and turns with a secondary emphasis on stroke refinement. Advanced competitive techniques are taught. Recommended for Swim Team members.
Prerequisite: Swimmers proficient in each of the four strokes and previous exposure to starts and turns.
Class size: 10–20 (2 instructors)
Availability: 2 classes per session, all 5 sessions
Beginner Diving Group Lessons – An introduction to springboard diving. The approach and basic body position will be stressed as while learning fundamental dives. Divers receive specific instruction and timely direction toward their diving goals.
Prerequisite: No experience necessary. (Diver should be able to recover from dive and comfortably swim short distance to side of pool.)

Availability: 3 classes per session, all 5 sessions
Intermediate Diving Group Lessons - Designed to hone diving fundamentals and introducing the diver to somersaults, twisting, reverse, and inward dives. Recommended for diver’s interested in Dive Team. Divers receive specific instruction and timely direction toward general competitive diving objectives.
Prerequisite: Divers 17 years of age and under with the ability to execute an approach and dive with basic body positioning.

Availability: 1 class per session, all 5 sessions
Advanced Diving Group Lessons – Designed for Team members seeking a competitive advantage. Divers receive specific instruction and unique direction tailored to the individual’s competitive diving goals and objectives.
Prerequisite: Divers 17 years of age and under with the ability to execute 4 of the 5 basic groups (front, back, reverse, inward, and twist).
Class size: 8
Availability: 1 class per session, all 5 sessions
High School Prep Group Lessons (5th session only) – This class prepares young adults technically and physically for the rigors of a high school level competitive swimming program.
Prerequisite: Novice and Elite Swimmers entering a competitive high school swimming program in the fall.
Class size: 15–25 (instructor rotation)
Availability: Session V only
Adult Swimming Group Lessons – This class aims to provide swimming instruction and conditioning for adults interested in improving physical fitness, health, and well being, as well as those interested in participating in the sport Triathlon. Some triathlon techniques will be taught based on demand.
Prerequisite: Beginner and Elite Swimmers over 18 years of age.
Class size: 15–25 (instructor rotation)
Availability: 1 class per session, all 5 sessions
WSI – Water Safety and Instruction Class (Session V only) - This class aims to certify lifeguards, instructors, coaches, parents, and outdoor water enthusiasts in water safety and instruction as recognized by the American Red Cross.

Session V group lesson registration is free of charge with group lesson registration for Sessions I, II, III, and IV when paid by credit card or with cash. Offer available to both members and nonmembers.
Cancellation Policy:
All lesson cancellations must be made at least TWO weeks prior to each session to receive a full refund. Cancellations made after the first day of each session will not be refunded. Cancellations made during the two-week period will receive a 75 percent refund. Cancellations must be made by notifying the class instructor AND the Front Desk.
