Swimming Facilities
The Pool:
Six lanes, 25 yards in length, 4-5 foot depth.
The Diving Well: 13 feet deep with a 1 meter and a 3 meter spring board.
The Children's Pool: (Ages 2-5 years) 15 feet x 15 feet, 15 inches deep.

M-F 1:15 - 9pm
Weekends & Holidays: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Early Season Hours:
May 19-20: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
May 26-28: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
June 1: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
June 2-3: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Pool will close at 4:15 p.m. for home swim meets

Lesson
Levels
Beginner
For the unskilled or the "afraid of water," 2 1/2 - 5 years
old.
Objectives: Front crawl without breathing, back floating.
Advanced
Beginner
Child ready to learn breathing on front crawl, 3 - 8 years old.
Objectives: Front crawl with breathing, back crawl.
Intermediate
Child must be able to swim one pool width with breathing to side on
front crawl.
Objectives: Begin breaststroke, refine freestyle and backstroke, begin
racing dive.
Great class for 6 and under swim team children.
Stroke
Development
For swimmer with good skills in free, back breaststroke.
Objectives: Begin butterfly, refine other three strokes, and some racing
techniques.
Great class for 8 and under swim team or "Swim 2 Win" children.
Competitive
Techniques
Excellent class for children 8 and over on the swim team.
Objectives: Practice dives, turns and stroke development.
Strongly Recommended for Swim Team Swimmers.
Beginning,
Intermediate, and Advanced Diving Classes
Classes to learn grace and style. Amaze your friends with flips, twists
and a smooth entry.

Staff
Emily
Cannon - Aquatics Director Grew up swimming for the Tennis Club,
Tsunami, and East High where she played water polo and captained the
swim team. Started teaching at the public pool in Cedar City in 1994.
Emily returned to the Tennis Club to teach in '98 and has felt fortunate
to be around all the amazing coaches here through the years and to be
living the dream of a doing something she loves. Emily specializes in
teaching breastroke, younger kids and the very beginners, kids who have
had bad water experiences or a near-drowning, and children with special
needs.
Paige
Baucom - Swam for the Tennis Club from 1990-2002 Swam competitively
for numerous high schools throughout the Salt Lake Valley Taught Swimming
lessons at Emily Cannon's Neighborhood pool & Coached girls swim team
for Brookwood Camps Swim Coach at the Tennis Club going on 3 years
Matt
Farr - Tennis Club swimmer 1992-2004 Swam Competitively 1992-2006
3 Time State Swimming Champion for Judge Memorial State Champ in the
500 Free
Shea
Jackson - Swam in the Country Club League for 10 years. 5 years
with the former Fort Douglas and 5 years at the Tennis Club. Swam all
four years of High School the first two seasons at Judge and the second
two for Skyline. Swim Team Captain for Skyline High School 5A State
Champions. Played Water polo on the Varsity team at Skyline and played
on the University of Utah Water polo team. Lifeguard for 2 years and
Head Lifeguard for 1 year at the Tennis Club. Swim Coach for the Tennis
Club going on 3 years.
John
Bekker - John is 23 years old and has been swimming since age five.
Started at the Tennis Club and was a member of the swim team here every
summer. Swam for Skyline High school and traveled to many national meets
over the years. Currently swims for BYU team. John loves swimming as
a sport and loves spending his summers at the pool. He is excited to
return to coaching here at the Tennis Club and enjoys teaching all age
groups and abilities.
Tricia
Bowen - Swam and dove for Tennis Club since age of 8. All-American
diver, Utah High School State Diving Champion. Currently dives at BYU.
Three years coaching experience, one year at SLTC. Led Tennis Club to
conference championship in 2006.
